COMMUNITY

Students of various backgrounds in Irvington High School join Irvington DECA with a common interest for business. As one of the largest organizations on campus, IHS DECA is a major part of the Irvington community. Chapter members share a unique bond, developed through competing at conferences together and working on projects and reports. Members often describe IHS DECA as their "second family" as many of the closest friendships are developed here. Irvington DECA is a chapter in California DECA, in the Northern California District.

SUCCESS

Irvington DECA experiences tremendous amounts of success and carries a reputation of being one of the most successful DECA chapters. Our chapter is consistently ranked within the top chapters in California and continues to break records. Due to amazing dedication and much preparation, our members experience great competitive success at conferences every year. Irvington DECA has sent 51 students to ICDC, the eminent international conference. At ICDC, 19 teams managed to finalize, placing them within the top 20 internationally.

JOURNEY

Every year, IHS DECA members have the opportunity to attend several conferences to compete with other DECA members and network with business professionals. All members have the opportunity to attend the NorCal CDC conference in San Ramon and the California CDC conference. Those who place highly at the California CDC conference are invited to the ICDC conference, with around 18,000 attendees to compete with DECA members all around the world. Members often come back from conferences with new connections and gained communication and presentation skills.
